Dr. Fluker, Executive Director of the Leadership Center at Morehouse College, was the guest speaker at AFP's June 16th breakfast meeting.  He is an expert in the theory and practice of ethical leadership, and he conducts lectures and workshops at foundations, businesses, corporations, religious institutions, colleges and universities.

Dr. Fluker spoke about leadership in the 21st Century and discussed critical points/challenges that are crucial for today's leadership.  One of the challenges and keys to leadership is to take different viewpoints and opinions and have them come together as one.  In order to have successful leadership in today's environment, one must focus on relationships, soft skills, negotiation, compromise and collaboration.
Dr. Fluker stressed that leaders should focus on three areas:
Discernment, Deliberation and Decision.  In closing, Dr. Fluker said the leaders must be aware of what's going on around them and understand the complexities of change.
